Workshop exploring Architectural features to create designs. We will be exploring ways of creating texture and pattern by applying fabrics and threads which are then embellished with free machine embroidery.

This is hand embroidery and will be very fine work, probably for the more experienced stitchers amongst us.

Talk - Dramatic Shibori 

Saturday 22nd Sian Martin

Shibori. Creating dramatic relief shapes in fabric using a simple Japanese method of steaming. The fabric surface is tied & stitched into different formations before being steamed for 10 mins to set shapes. The ties & stitches are then removed to reveal the exciting results.
