WORKSHOP - Jan Evans 17 September 2005

“Patterns, Signs and Symbols”

Using a limited selection of shapes can be an interesting starting point for creating new motifs or all over patterns. We used printing blocks and stencils to make shapes on paper and fabric, and enhanced these by hand or machine, to produce colour, pattern and texture.
